Abstract
The purpose of this study was to evaluate effects of abrasive particle size and mixing ratio on tooth abrasiveness.
The authors had tested the relative abrasivity of dentifrices with different particle size and mixing percentage by surface profile method. The 8 kinds of different abrasives were used. Obtained results were as follows:
1. The relative abrasivity was increased according to the bigger particle size, but was not in direct proportion.
2. The relative abrasivity was increased by higher mixing ratio, but was not in direct proportion.
